Shelby M. Fay was promoted to Chief Investment Officer in January of 2026.  Shelby joined Chemung Canal Trust Company in the summer of 2015 and has held several positions within the Investment Services Department. Shelby has obtained both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designations. He is a graduate of Elmira College where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics with a minor in Business Administration. Shelby currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Chemung County Historical Society and is a member of the Bank’s Asset-Liability Management Committee.
